We believe in supporting our neighbours, organizations and local activities that have a positive impact on the continued health and wellbeing of our community
As a local firm, De Francesca Law not only stands for excellence and the quality of the legal work we do but also for our commitment to the community where we live and work. As a proud member of the Toronto Danforth community, we’re dedicated to our neighbours and promoting the local organizations, causes and activities that have a nurturing influence on everything that happens here.
At De Francesca Law, philanthropy and giving back to the community are core values. We are proud of our growing philanthropic spirit, our activities and the new opportunities we have to reach out to help those in need and become more involved.
Our firm’s sponsorship and donations activities now include financial support for SOS Children’s Villages, a global charitable children’s organization founded in 1949 to address the plight of orphaned and abandoned children with over 2,000 facilities worldwide. This year marks the 50th anniversary of the founding of SOS Children’s Villages Canada, which operates a “Village” in Ondangwa, Northern Namibia where orphaned children can have a permanent home and family environment.
In 2020, De Francesca Law expanded this commitment to include support for the SOS Villages Rome with funding to help with the running of a children’s orphanage located on a site northwest of Rome.
De Francesca Law supports the growth of the legal profession and the next generation of lawyers in Ontario with its program of financial assistance and awards at Ontario law schools. These include the following prizes:
De Francesca Law also supports a variety of youth activities in the community. This includes sponsorship of the De Francesca Law Lions team in the Withrow Park Ball Hockey League and the De Francesca Law Lions team in the East York Soccer Club in the Danforth and East York communities. We also sponsor many other school activities, community events and organizations across Greater Toronto, including the Riverdale Share Concert, the De La Salle Theatre, the Frankland Fun Fair, the Withrow Fun Fair and The Withrow Project.
